Community Service

As a student at Foshay Learning Center I have to complete a number of hours in helping out my community as part as a high school requirement to graduate.

What I did: During my time in the high school I took the time to donate blood in my sophomore year and then I donated two more times in my junior year at Foshay.

What I learned: What I learned from this is that helping others is its own reward. People are out there in need of this blood and people like us that donate make a difference.

What I Did: For a period of time to complete my service hours I helped out at a local party store called Polanco's Pinatas. I helped out in the store, take inventory of items, move around stuff and check the income.

What I learned: While spending that time helping out I learned about about working hard and being commited. While there i learned about maintaining a buisness isnt that easy helping maintaining one requires dedication
